Here we provide some important information about a possible phenomenon that can occur after piercings, called granuloma. This is a small growth of tissue that can develop around the piercing, usually due to the body's natural healing.

What is a granuloma? A granuloma is the body's response to the presence of the piercing, where scar tissue grows larger than necessary. It may look like a small lump or nodule, often reddish in color.

Why does it happen? Granulomas can be triggered by several factors, including allergic reactions, constant irritation or the presence of foreign bodies at the piercing site.
